Privacy
Journal, place, ladder, and Cycles unlock stay in this browser. They are not uploaded to an account. City search and NASA sky feeds leave as ordinary requests. Stripe, if you buy Cycles, is the payment.
No PIN. Anyone with this phone can open the app.
Place
Sharing location uses GPS on this device so sunrise, UV, and the Moon are timed for where you stand. Allow location when asked — the first fix should land in a few seconds.
Or if you prefer, just type in your city and state to show all features for that location
Gazing window
Safe gazing is the first stretch after sunrise and the last stretch before sunset, at the place you set on Horizon. Default is 45 minutes each.
Ladder cap
Daily increases stop here. Five minutes is the default. Forty-four minutes is the traditional intense ceiling — optional, not recommended.
A soft two-tone when the timer completes
A short rest after gazing, before you log
Session sound
Optional beds under the timer. Silent is the default. Tap a bed, then hear a sample.
Sounds are generated on this device — nothing is streamed.
